Is it possible to do a automatic reply app within IOS?

I had an idea for an app that when the application is turned on and you get a text it will reply an automatic message. Example: let's say you are driving and the app is turned on the app will reply something like "Sorry I am driving, I will get back to you when I have the chance" or something like that. Would that that be even possible with the current version of IOS? Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time,

Ozzie

My impression, based on a little Googling, is that it isn't currently possible due to the restrictions that Apple places on sending text messages. http://www.geekwire.com/2013/otter-starts-petition-apple-apps-text-drive/

It might be possible on jailbroken devices though? http://lifehacker.com/5987900/autoresponder-for-ios-replies-to-messages-when-youre-busy-is-50-off-right-now

These are a couple apps with a similar idea, though I haven't checked to see if they are Android only, or for iOS too. Might be worth a look though. http://mashable.com/2012/12/17/texting-driving-apps/

That is really too bad that apple has those restrictions. Hopefully in a future IOS they will fix this or maybe even introduce an app of their own. Also, thank you for the links, I have just downloaded a few of those apps :)
