Is it possible to run Android Environment for a chromebook in any way?

It can also be an online ide or a program on the computer

1 Answer

Not really, not yet.

A java compiler hasn't been supported in chromebooks yet, believe me, I searched. There's one online IDE for java that I found that will work for java, sourcelair.com, but it certainly can't give any type of build system like Android, so far as I've seen. If you want to do this class, you're going to have to do it on something other than a chromebook. However, chromebooks can handle development for other languages now. You can get a lot of web design done on it in HTML, CSS, Javascript, Dart, and maybe a couple others (PHP I think too).
