Is MediaElement.js still relevant?

I'm watching this on January 13 2020, knowing that the vast JavaScript ecosystem evolves rapidly and continuously I'd like to understand if the MediaElement.js library is still relevant and used by developers or if it can be replaced by other more up to date or popular libraries/frameworks.

If you're interested in what's popular, a search engine would perhaps be the best resource.

Thank you for your response, as I understand MediaElement provides all the necessary elements when it's up to video and audio and should be used when dealing with that kind of elements.
