Is testing and executing the same thing?

In the video she goes over modeling and testing, but not anything about executing. Thx.

Basically, yes. But if you look deep down in the core of the definitions, testing is the process in which you are seeing if the process you are trying to works, if you test something, you don't expect to use the same process used in any previous run. Executing is where you see if one process is working. The word comes from the term "Execution" where people would be killed because of their wrong doing in public...
