is the .play() attribute in-built in javascript and specifically used to play audio files ?

Hi , I just want to know about the 2 elements i.e. document.getelementbyId and .play() whcih are inside the javascript body.

document.GetelemetnbyId - I can make out it that getelementbyid is calling audio file by its id but what is document used here for ? is it in-built ? is it because the audio file drops into the document category ?

.play() - is it an in-built javascript function ? is it only used specifically for audio files or can it be used to play something else too ?

document.getElementById('container') would get an element with the ID of 'container' . Its selecting a html tag with the ID 'container'

Yes, play() is used for media files https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/HTMLMediaElement/play
