String firstName is already declared in 1 line So in second line You must just use it : Console.WriteLine(firstName);

In Your code You try to declare it one more time: Console.WriteLine(string firstName);

So whole code should looks:

string firstName = Console.ReadLine();
Console.WriteLine(firstName);
