Is there a way to remove library items from the homepage after they're completed?

I like to add items from the library to my homepage so I can easily access them. I have completed one of them, but now it appears there is no way to remove it from the homepage. It isn't affecting me in any major way, but it is taking up space and making it harder to manage my courses. Is there a way to delete it from my homepage? On my other courses I haven't yet completed it says what language they are, the difficulty and it has either an X or a + depending if I have or haven't added it to the homepage. Once it's completed all of those things disappear, and it just says complete.

I'm having the same problem. One thing that has happened is that a completed the Web Typography course with out viewing all of the videos and it removed itself from my homepage but when I went back and watched the videos I had skipped it reappeared on the homepage with no way to remove it.
