Is there something wrong with my android studio it is constantly showing gradle sync in progress .

In my android studio gradle sync processing is being done for a long time with no results. also my view variables are not added in the import statements-they are neither red nor white in color but.........BLACK.

What version of Android Studio and Gradle are you using? This is not an uncommon occurrence in some version pairings.

Thanks for the prompt reply. My android studio version is 1.0.0.1 and gradle version is 1.0. The syncing is not happening properly.Will the gradle be synced for every project build?.Pls suggest some fix.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
