Is this HTML-CSS statement true?

* Display properties can also style span (continuation) tags. Running-text inside span tags will not collapse but will continue broadening the horizontal scrolling bar even if we will give it display: block || inline-block, while display: inline won't effect it anyway. *

Why not test it for yourself in the workspace, or using one of the handy online IDE's like CodePen or JSFiddle?

You right, I should have done that in the first place, I learned this issue best this way.
