Is this the best way of implementing middleware?

To me this looks like it would be an issue if you wanted to implement multiple middlewares, what if you want to have a Security token middleware and say a tracking middleware, nesting the functions doesn't seem ideal.

What would be the solution for multiple middlewares?

That's where next() comes in, you just do them one after the other
