General Discussion

Is Unit Testing important? Why?

What are treehouse thoughts about unit testing?

My current position values unit testing to provide confidence and show business value per team.

I've heard other say it is wasteful.

Thoughts?

Unit testing is very useful. They guarantee that individual bits of code work like you expect and that you're writing code in a more modular format. I don't personally subscribe to TDD, where you write the tests first, but I definitely write unit and integration tests for all of the code I release.
