is using header("location: whatever.php?p=[$i]") not a valid way to redirect?

I'm not sure why this isn't working

header("location: play.php?p=[$i]") the square brackets around $i are killing your header redirect.

The square brackets are used in

$_SESSION['word'][$i]

...because you are referencing that position in the array. In the redirect you don't want the square brackets in the URL, you want the value of $i.

If that doesn't make sense, let me know and I'll try to re-word my explanation.
