Is using rspec considered "unit testing"?

I have heard the term unit testing with other languages and would like to know if rspec is considered unit testing?

Yes, Rspec is just a replacement for the default Minitest library. Personally I like Rspec better because the code "feels" more clean. Probably just used to it though.
