    break ;
  default:
    echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administrator.";
}
?>

Hey Progress - It looks you have an extra space in the admin case. Remove that space and try again.

Cheers

Hi Progress

Your first case statement says:

case 'admin ' :

The extra space at the end of admin counts as characters in PHP, so you just need to remove it.

case 'admin':

Hope that helps!

I tried it over and over again but it still won't work.

You might have to go back to the first part of the question and make sure you don't have any spaces and that you haven't changed the top section at all:

<?php
//Available roles: admin, editor, author, subscriber
if (!isset($role)) {
    $role = 'subscriber';
}

//change to switch statement
switch ($role) {
  case 'admin':
    echo "As an admin, you can add, edit, or delete any post.";
    break;
  default:
    echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administrator.";
}

Then add the editor and author in the second part between the break; and default: lines.

Let me know how you get on.

I just noticed that you also had a space between the end of 'admin' and the colon - 'admin ' : - you need to remove that as well so it's 'admin':

I finally got it, thanks Niki
