It's 2020, this video references that it was recorded in 2015, and that Flexbox is the future? Can someone update?

It's 2020 and this video in 2015 says Flexbox is the future? Can someone from the Treehouse staff weigh in on if that is even relevant? How old are some of these other CSS HTML videos? 5 Years is a lifetime in tech, I am a bit concerned I'm being taught something is "the future" and nobody's updated it in 5 years?
