iOS Swift Collections and Control Flow Control Flow With Loops Working With Loops

it's really strange. I keep getting the error. even though it's identical to previous answer.

// Enter your code below while (counter < numbers.count) { sum += numbers[counter] counter++ }

loops.swift
let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0

// Enter your code below
while (counter < numbers.count) {
  sum += numbers[counter]
  counter++
}

As you haven't specified the error you're receiving, I can only guess at the problem.

However, I notice that you're using the ++ operator. This was deprecated in Swift 3 (meaning it is no longer used) - the way to increment a value by 1 now is to use += 1 instead.

while (counter < numbers.count) { sum += numbers[counter] counter += 1 }

yes, Sam! Counter was the issue :) thanks :)
