Java Java Data Structures Efficiency! Implement Chooser UI

It's very confusing to me to have the map object given the same name as the class method, i.e. by Artist.

Is it good coding practice to give a variable the same name, including capitalization, as a method? Why not call the map something like mapArtistToSongs or songsByArtist? Thank you.
