iTunes feed in HD

Whenever I tried to suscribe to the iTunes feed, it always download low quality videos, which make it hard to see what is being done by the teacher. Is there a way to suscribe to the High Definition MP4 Files?

Miguel,

I am not 100% if there is a HD option for the iTunes Treehouse podcasts, if thats what you are referring to.

Yes, that is what I'm referring too. It would be really useful.

According to Treehouse developer Aaron Kalin "For the time being, you can add an &hd=true to the iTunes podcast link if you copy the link address and add a &hd=true at the end, then go to File -> Subscribe to Podcast and input the new link there."

Minor note, it must be &hd=true, not simply hd=true. Thanks for including the link, needed that extra bit :)

I had the same issue and adding this hack worked for me with iTunes 12.2.2.25 on Yosemite.

I think it would be great for Teamtreehouse to make the button to link to the HD stream as default. It's hard to read the codes in SD.

I'm hoping the crew at Treehouse will add access to HD feeds soon but in the meantime I wrote a simple chrome extension that will change all "iTunes Feed" links to "iTunes HD Feed" links across the Treehouse course material. I travel a lot and having the content available offline at high resolution so I can read the code to be super valuable so I just went ahead an scratched my own itch and hope others in the community find it helpful. The extension must be side loaded so as with all side loaded software, please follow good security practices (it's a few lines of javascript so it's should take long to assess).
