there's a link to my workspace. I'm wondering why my website doesn't change background color even though my syntax in the .css file is correct and the directory link in the .html file are correct. Please help!

rel="stylesheet"

In your index.html file you need to add equals signs (=) to your stylesheet link.

<link rel-"stylesheet" href="CSS/normalize.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="CSS/main.css">

not the = between rel and "stylesheet".
