I've been getting consistent "Restart Challenge" error popups over the last few days with JasvaScript Basics challenges.

I've sent this to the help desk. Any solutions here from the user community?

Thanks...Martin

Nope, but I'm interested in if you figure it out. I've been experiencing this across language courses here including Javascript and Python.

I've had this problem too sometimes recently. It might be a network or server issue. I've been just closing the alert using the "X" and then refreshing the browser. (I copy all my code before refreshing so that I can paste it back in afterwards.) Submitting the challenge usually works the second time.

This seems to be happening across many courses. Sending a notice to the Support Team is a good idea to make sure they are aware.

Just a hint/tip though: When the modal popup window with the 'restart' message pops up, just click anywhere in your browser window (not in the popup) - The popup window will disappear and then just click submit again for the challenge/quiz. This has worked for me pretty much 100% of the time. This way you're not constantly redoing the code.

Ah, that's right, I just have to submit again, not refresh. I agree this "solution" works fine.

I've been having the same issue. I just close the popup, copy my code and click check work again. If that doesn't work, I reload the page and paste my code in.

Yes! Make sure you copy your code first incase it doesn't work... forgot to mention that. :)

Yeah, I have definitely been copying my code.

Well good to know it seems to be a Treehouse issue.

Thanks...Martin

I have been having this problem constantly (as of September 2016). I messaged Treehouse but they tell me the problem is with MY network. I'm not getting any satisfactory answers and this is extremely frustrating, to say the least. I don't know what to do.

I downloaded and started using a text editor instead of Workspaces.

Brackets is what I use each day.

Atom is another.

There are other options as well.
