i've changed nothing about Task 1 here, yet I get "task 1 no longer passing" on task 2. Can't move on. What's wrong?

here's my added code

newYork.population = 8. etc;

newYork.country = USA;

script.js
var newYork = {
  population: 100,
  latitude: '40.7127 N',
  longitude: '74.0059 W'
};

newYork.population = 8.406e6;

newYork.country = USA;

Task 1 is add population, task 2 is add country. How can me adding the country change whether Task 1 is passing or not?

You forgot quotation marks for USA :

var newYork = {
  population: 100,
  latitude: '40.7127 N',
  longitude: '74.0059 W'
};
newYork.population= 8.406e6;
newYork.country= "USA";
