I've completed the course, but I can't remember the steps from beginning to end. Any advice? Rewatch videos or practice?

I'm finding it difficult to remember every step that Nick explained. Should I create my own pattern for each step?

you have a lot of choices, however the two i would recommend are either re-watch the videos you just went through or just push on and keep learning. You probable have more info stored in your memory then you think you just need to keep working to access it. If you just finished the how to build a website course i would recommend http://teamtreehouse.com/library/html as your next html course. it goes over everything html and is a great course for driving home the info that you need in html. If you would like more advice dont hesitate to ask, hope this helps and happy coding.

Thanks Eric! I'm feeling sad about not remembering the material even after completing the course and was thinking about calling it quits. I'm going to check out the library for more html info. I hope this will help. Thank so much! :)

glad i could help and don't feel sad/discouraged it takes a lot of work to get it, however the more you do the easier it will get. Plus you will find that as you keep going a lot of the same concepts will be interchangeable between languages. Just keep at it and you will get it i promise.

Thanks Eric! I'm going to keep pushing and practice with the course you suggested!

Lametria, I get discouraged about once a week! LOL One thing I learned is that I can't just study code and not do anything with it. I have to schedule time to sit down and work on a project to practice what I've learned at least once a week. Now that I'm doing that, it's becoming clearer. I have also formed the habit of opening the developer tools when I'm on other websites to see if I can figure out what the code is and what it's doing. Naturally, there's a lot there that I don't understand but when I can pick out some of the HTML, CSS and JavaScript and understand it, it's like a shot of tequilla (or whatever your preference is)!

Thanks Lori! That was truly helpful. I'm going to continue practicing :)
