Javascript and the DOM

Can someone please help me through this...

You could use document.getElementById() to get the first item from the unordered list.

let firstListItem = document.getElementById("first");

get element by tagname.

get its child by using tagname on the above object.

goto parent and then delete its one of the child-"that is itself"

let myList;
let firstListItem;

myList = document.getElementsByTagName("UL")[0];
firstListItem = myList.getElementsByTagName("LI")[0];

firstListItem.parentElement.removeChild(firstListItem);

Or you can do... for removing element:

myList.removeChild(firstListItem);
