I always get stuck when trying to do this code Random randomGenerator = new Random(); int randomNumber = randomGenerator.nextInt(10); String intAsString = randomGenerator + ""; wants me to moosh the string value over to randomGenerator

you need to add the randomNumber and an empty string, not the randomGenerator:

Random randomGenerator = new Random();
int randomNumber = randomGenerator.nextInt(10);
//moosh the randomNumber with an empty string
String intAsString = randomNumber + "";

also Android code is written in Java, not Javascript. they are two different languages : ). hope this helped
