Javascript at Treehouse

I noticed here at Treehouse we cover the basics of Javascript but not enough to actually use our skills as a Javascript developer or to become marketable, don't get me wrong I love this website I'm here everyday. But I feel like Javascript is a very essential language in todays economy to become a web developer.

But we don't cover object-oriented-programming with Javascript or Backbone.js or Node.js. I would like to explore the rich deep side of Javascript and I have hard time learning things at other website where is not as interesting or fun to learn from as Treehouse. You guys have a good way of teaching people and keeping people engaged.

Are there any future plans for Javascript here at Treehouse.

I second that, give us more javascript! :)

I don't know if Treehouse has any plans for advanced JavaScript classes like node.js, I know it's been mentioned a few times.

In the meantime I'd suggest you check out codeschool, they have a classes on:

  • node.js
  • backbone.js
  • CoffeeScript
  • JQuery

Is it possible to learn those frameworks without understanding Javascript?
