JavaScript Christmas Gifts

My 13 year old niece has been working her way through Kahn Academy's JavaScript course and really seems to be enjoying herself. Any ideas of books or age appropriate learning sites to keep her interested?

Does the book Treehouse's Dave McFarland have a lower age limit, as it were? I found it to be great, but I'm a bit older than 13.

Thanks for any input and Happy Holidays!

Ken

perhaps Javascript for Kids. its for ages 10+ so it seems like a good fit

Hi Ken,

I guess Dave McFarland's book is pretty awesome and a 13 will not have problems with it. And well, more advanced books can also boosting the interest, don't you think?

Here are some others books that can be interesting:

  1. Head First JavaScript Programming
  2. JavaScript for Kids
  3. JavaScript: Novice to Ninja

Take a look at O'Reilly, you'll find lot of good books in the JavaScript section.

Happy Holidays!
