Howdy folks!
So for an internal report I added an export to excel function, and although it works for me most of the times, when I add 'custom dates' for the search for the records it ceases working. One of my bosses also claims that using custom dates breaks the functionality, however my other boss claims that in all tests, under any search parameters, the function consistently works for him.
Why would this work for some users (pcs + browsers), but not others?

4,599 PointsI would find out what OS and Browser combo each of them is using. Then, I'd focus my attention on the OS-Browser combo that is causing problems by researching similar issues on that browser, etc. You can use a simulator or a service like BrowserStack or SauceLabs (that I know of) to troubleshoot and test the feature further on that browser.
By the way, are you using a calendar widget or date picker type of thing? My QA experience has shown me time and again that those tend to be a little prone to issues but they are often indispensable.
Good luck!
P.S. As Noah pointed out, settings could make a difference, too. In the event both of your bosses/coworkers are using the same browser, explore with different setting while troubleshooting/testing.

4,144 PointsI imagine that it would involve the browser, the version, and its settings.
