JavaScript Project Ideas?

I'm trying to build my portfolio as a front end web developer. Any thoughts on JS projects for a beginner? Thanks!

Am also curious about this...

Hey Rachel! I'm too trying to build a developer portfolio. What I am doing is finding clients and making real websites with some interactivity like using the lightbox gallery for an artists portfolio, cool drop down menus that are eye catching and using plugins. I find it takes the randomness out of trying to build random little apps and showing you can listen and produce what a client wants.

The other thing I've started doing is looking on CodePen.io and putting the apps I made during this course and apps I built from other tutorials magazines and websites. Then you can link samples of your building on your CV or cover letter.

P.S "clients" aren't that difficult to find you just need to reach out to friends, and if you're confident in making something great you can start making some cash! I find the websites I'm working on for money make me work extra hard on producing something I'm really proud of..

Two project that i've done that have helped me understand Javascript a bit more was a To-Do List and a Javascript Form Validator.

Both required different logical thinking skills and helped me understand the benefits of using plain Javascript.

I hope this helps.

I love these ideas, thanks!!!

Learn angular js and ember js an MVC. :)

Create a gallery slideshow with jquery or javacript from scratch.
