Javascript Prototype Inheritance

Can anyone explain to me what the Javascript Protype inheritance is? Ive read some articles about it but i dont really understand it.

Hi the "proto" is used to set the inheritance of another object. So if the information isn't available in the first object the "proto" is followed and serves as a path for the information.
