Hi all, I’m currently learning Javascript. Apart from the fact that I would be gaining knowledge of a new framework I would like to know if there is any benefit in learning node.js as well as Javascript together.
Does one node.js compliment Javascript in anyway. I’ve researched about node.js but still quite confused to what it actually does.

16,529 PointsIt depends on your goals. If you need to do a backend (server side code), Node.js will be the simplest solution, because you are familiar with the laguage. But professional backend developers prefer languages that are specially created for these purposes: PHP, Python, Go, Ruby.

16,529 PointsYes, because PHP an older language and many frameworks and CMSs have been made on it (WordPress, Joomla, Laravel, Zen, Symfony, etc).
