The background-origin property is used if you want to display and background image and the background-clip is for use with the background color property. There is a great article on W3Schools.com (http://www.w3schools.com/css/css3_backgrounds.asp) that shows the different boxes that you can use for attaching each property. They also have a great editor where you can play with the different properties to see what affect each on generates. Hope that helps.
