Job ready in 3 months? I think I can do it?

Hello I have been on treehouse for a year and a half now. I am looking to be job ready in 3 months. My main issue is my lack of portfolio so I am going to be spending more time on projects as soon as I complete the web design track. I think I can be ready in 3 months. Any recommended resources are welcome. I have been on treehouse for a year and a half now and my progress has been stalled in the past due to setbacks(mainly crazy work hours). I am almost done with the web design track so I think being hired by June is a reasonable goal. I will mainly be refining skills and building a portfolio.

Congrats on your progress! I'm currently in the same boat (working towards being hire-able) and am taking Treehouse courses while working on a couple of friends' websites. If you can create a website for yourself or others, that will definitely help build your portfolio. Even if you volunteer your time for a nonprofit, it will be a good way to show your skills.

As far as timing, I think you can do it if you work hard and use your time wisely. Recently I was reading some of the Treehouse stories/testimonials and saw at least a couple of people who landed jobs within 2-4 months.

Hello Rachel,

I would suggest adding the work you've done here on treehouse to your portfolio and to get some "real world projects" as well, I'd recommend you doing some freelance work.

Thanks! I am customizing the portfolio site and I am hoping to have my own site+blog up and running by the end of the month!
