Jobs in PHP field while you're a starter in PHP

I have been contacted and interviewed numerous time about php but unfortunately i am not advance as i am still learning but know much to create something or do something. Yet my CV which states PHP as wordpress template uses PHP and using it in past, i get too many jobs request. Now i am on a point that constant rejection has made me sad and unwilling to apply for a job. I use to work on frontend, like themes of wordpress, html or css and sometimes jQuery but at the same time. I am not master. So in situation like that, how can i score a PHP job when i don't have a lot of PHP ninja knowledge.

HI,

I think the best is to make your own PHP side projects, with of course beautiful design and as well as find clients adn make them websites with it too. Look at WP tehemes and if you can understand it, then you should be good in PHP job. Plus how are you learning it? How i start is i pure programm it with no framework. What i mean is that i will make a websites from nothing to something with just code . That way i learn a lot and then i can do like anything and after that i move to a framweork where i learn a lot too and im better overall at it .

I dont know if that helps. But almost in the same boat as you.
