JQuery function isn't working

I'm using the bind event on a achor to slide my nav class in and out. It works internally (in the html file) but externally it doesn't work. There's the code: (function() { var body = $('body'); $('.nav-toggle').bind('click', function() { body.toggleClass('nav-open'); return false; }); })();

Have you made sure your page loads jQuery before the code you posted above? If your code is loaded first the browser won't be able to process it.

no, I didn't but I've now - thanks.
