jquery help with slow transition

Please help me with jquery on my webpage. I watched one tutorial on how to make slow transition to #link on the page. I did everything the same like in the tutorial but it doesn't work.

I don't know much about javascript. So I can't understand where the mistake is.

You're on treehouse. I recommend you take the Full-Stack JavaScript Track if you want to learn JavaScript and jQuery. I'm not sure of what you're trying to achieve here.

Thanks, but I need to finish the page tomorrow. I am trying to achieve smooth scrolling through the page to the bottom after the client pressed the button. Any suggestions?
