JS and the DOM..?

Hi, I'm following the Front End Developer track and have arrived here at jQuery. There is a pre-req course listed "JavaScript and the DOM", which is not part of my current track. Should I break from the track to take that before proceeding? thanks! Steve

Yes, always take your prerequisites unless you are confident you already have experience in that area from other education or training

Thanks for your answer and I am doing so, so will mark it Best. However, what I was getting as was more along the line of "why am I being asked to break from the track to learn a pre-req?" because shouldn't it just be part of the Track? Hopefully someone from Treehouse will see Jason's tagged answer below as well. Thanks again!

This is more what I was getting at, thanks for tagging the teachers Jason.
