"After your newly created returnValue function, create a new variable named echo. Set the value of echo to be the results from calling the returnValue function. When you call the returnValue function, make sure to pass in any string you'd like for the parameter."
my code:
function returnValue(string) { return string + ' is the best type of coffee.'; }
returnValue(Black Coffee);
var echo = returnValue();

4,954 PointsHello Nathan,
You need to pass a string as an argument to your returnValue function. Also, the function you're assigning to the echo variable has no return value. Try this:
var echo = returnValue('Black Coffee');
Instead of this:
returnValue(Black Coffee);
var echo = returnValue();
