Just curious

If i would create some app or website , this can go on my profile right ? and woul treehouse do something with it ? and being a MOD , will all this help me into getting to University ( like a bonus) ? same as learning from treehouse and other things . Yes knowledge is important but , ill assume in a year ill make an app and do a portfolio with JS about my work and all .

Im just in need to get in a good university , or well at least the university it social , as I'm not expecting to have there something that treehouse haven't taugh me about :D , in other words , it can be used as prestige .

In other words , for me a social university with nice people , as saying on city i want go to would help me as well as the university is good and has a good ranking as well as student satisfaction is pretty good . ]

My grades will be below their requirements , but , i have a lot to offer to them on why would they let me go in as i want to show my personality and all about the work etc.. i didn't had the best times so i didn't get grades as i wanted in school and things didn't went well. But now i changed but i don't have enough time to do all these a-levels and take the exams and all.

If anyone know in UK , especially in Leicester , where i could pay for an exam to take ICT ? i want to take and A - level in some it work as i think i mostly covered it here anyways as i listened to other student .

yes, i did a similar post , but this is a bit different .

You will need to look at the admissions requirements for the particular university you want to attend.

In the United States, there is a part of the regular admissions requirement is a certain test score or higher for standardized tests, and another part is past academic achievement grades, but usually they allow you to list outside activities and accomplishments for the admissions board to consider when reviewing your application. I think working web projects, and showing you have completed various sections might show the admissions board that you might make a good student there.

Another route might be to find a way to transfer into your desired university. Some colleges and universities have lower admissions requirements and would accept you into their school, and after a certain number of credits earned, they have a partnership program with the more prestigious university. At both the lower-level college and the university, you could use your knowledge and skills gained to easily pass courses that cover the same material as you have learned at Treehouse. If they allow for it, you could test for credit for all of these courses. Some universities allow you to just take the final exam and get credit for the class by passing the exam with a certain score.

Your best route might be to find the particular details for the university that you desire to attend and see what possibilities there are for your situation!

Yes it depends on the university or college you are trying to attend. For example in some countries (like the one I live at, not UK) you write entrance exams on other courses... like biology, chemistry, maths, physics, history, latin etc. According to the sector you are planning to follow. In that case what I learn from Treehouse does not help because we don't really do such type of things here, but there are other sites online that might help with that especially since UK is an English speaking country it is easier to find resources that are applicable for you.

If you know a college or university you'll like to attend at, it will be good you contact them and ask them if they have entrance exams, or any other information they have on how you can get there. Maybe you can improve in grades by getting a tutor? I don't know just find the best way that works for you. Knowing what they ask for then trying your best to meet these requirements will take you a long way.

Now, once you enter into the ICT college/univercity, there, some things from what you learnt from Treehouse will be helpful. According to your courses, some things though you will not be able to find here, or some things you learn here you won't learn in all your years there.

Definitely the project oriented approach is a huge plus when it comes to getting a job. So do work on projects.

Thank you for both of your answers but since I want to on software developing , making an app , website. And by the time ill go there , I will have a quite good skill I believe and I will already know how to make apps and website . In two years , maybe not professional but at least on the track .

I went to teachers and asked them but well , techers about that stuff... I will contact the university but I have no chance to get their requirements because I don't have enough time and I would pay for the exams too which im not sure where I can take them yet and what .

I want go on computer science , on mobile as I guess the courses are around 4 years long for it and by the time I go there I will be programming for 2 years , assuming that I started last month on Obj-C , well almost two years .

Do the grades matter what is it ?

As for example they want A*AA alevels right? but I have like A level form Polish and A level From Italian ( as long as I can find Italian ) . No I have maths on higher C but I will take it and bring it B or above and take the exam for a levels next year. I will also have two BTEC equivalent to A levels that are on ill say I get around B-A on graphic and print .

The thing is I understand English and everything , but in the exam I got an E .. and on a practice I neary passed , so you see. I need to get better at grammar and pronancuation and teaches assume I don't know any English .. I find harder to speak and I try to improve it but since I don't have anyone to speak with in English then it goes very slow . As my grammar, is slowly improving .

If I wont have my grades even though , but I show them my work and present my self well , does they look at this too? like when applying you need to put the grades that matches the requirements. But since I don't got them I want to present my self for them and show them that I can do whatever the lesson is . That im capitable to do whats the lesson about .

As I thought now about contact , its a bit early and what would I say them or could I say what im doing now and what im expecting to achive in a year . two as I started to learn obj-c .

Im not intrested to going to a bad uni tbh . Ill preffer to stay in college another year but I want to go as fsat as I can from college as im staying here till im 19 and these days people need to move fast .

I know I wrote something that you answered but this may have different view .

On 24th I have an appointment with a teacher that help to get to uni and today later in the day I have , or more likely , I will go to a math workshop and ask them hoping she could help me too as she is a nice lady that knows quite a lot of stuff from my point of view , shes up to date .

It seems you have a plan, and that's good. Grades matter when it is for a public university but the extent of how much it maters depends on the country's educational system. As for English you can check BBC - Learning English Resources as well.

I just asked and talked with one of my teacher and he said that i need to have C in English to take any A-level , even though i know a guy that took a-level with below the English requirement : p I will have to pay 60 pounds and i will took English and Maths, and i have to get the grade i have to .

I never actually learned how to write or do things like this like from BBC and would you have some advice i could make a plan and learn it ?
And now, since I'm doing pre-GCSE, I'm not sure how should i actually prepare my self for GCSE exam as on GCSE you have 20% of workshop work and 80% of exam .

Hi again Aurelian Spodarec , you can study these resources GCSE English, also make sure you have a look at the other link to go more in depth at certain topics of English, and if you need resources for more courses you can get more at BBC - GCSE resources. I hope this helps :)

Oh , okay , didn't read all : p Ill see how it will go :)
Thank you
