Landing page signup for event?

Hi there guys, a client of mine asked me to build a landing page for an event she is hosting. She just needs a page where people can sign up for the event and pay with paypal, is anyone familiar with these? Any resources or links is greatly appreciated. The Treehouse forums are such a great community, you guys are always awesome with helping strangers, really I appreciate it.

WordPress has landing page builders and is compatible with paypal, if that is something you are interested in.

It would require some sort of server side scripting to process the form information, so PHP would work. I presume paypal has readily available code in PHP to process transactions.

I personally am not a huge fan of Paypal so I don't have a lot of experience with it (I find it cheesy when web sites redirect me to paypal to pay for things)

If people need to sign up for the event AND pay with paypal - that goes beyond simple HTML
