Layout question?

please take a look at my code on code pen:

could anyone tell me why my #slider-container div styles won't show up on the page. If I add say a margin -top to #slider-container it will add it to the naviagation.

My guess is that its something to do with having a fixed positioned nav. I've never really tried having my navigation fixed so I probably made a mistake. So please have a look and let me know what I'm doing wrong or what to do next please.

If possible let me know why my slider-container isn't showing and whether I've fixed positioned my nav correctly. Any feedback would be really appreciated whether harsh or not I don't care I just wanna learn.

Thanks guys

I checked it out for you. Just add to your nav element:

top: 0;
