l'd like you to now only print continents that begin with the letter "A"

l don't know what l am doing wrong

continents.py 
continents = ['Asia', 'South America', 'North America', 'Africa', 'Europe', 'Antarctica', 'Australia']
for continent in continents:
    print(" * " +continent)  

for continent in continents:
    if continent in continent:
        if continent[0] == " A ":
            print(" * " +continent )

I think you are having problems because you should just update your function from the first objective rather than writing a second function below the first one.

Your second function contains the correct code, but you have included an unnecessary line. You do not need the line indicated below:

if continent in continent:

Remove the code you wrote in the previous task, replace if continent in continent with if continent in continents, and omit the extra space before the * in the string, and it should pass.
