ASP.NET is a web framework that allows you to use C# to write server side code and develop webpages using templates and the like. Since it is a framework that uses C# you need to know at least basic C# before you go though the ASP.NET course.

I'd start with the Learn C# Track then if you want go on the ASP.NET Track.
