Java

Learning Java EE in 2015 worth it ? What about the Play Framework?

So I've learned a lot of Java SE, but it seems there's no Java SE jobs at all. So I want to learn Java EE now, but there are so many topics its very confusing to know where to start. What exactly is 'deprecated' or obsolete nowadays ? It seems regarding web development, whenever I mention Java, EVERYONE gives me a weird look, many people saying Java in web is dead.

Also, would it be better to learn the Play framework instead?
