LinkedIn Endorsements & Team Treehouse Group

Hi everyone,

I have been using the Covid lockdown period to upskill myself and learn a bit of coding in the hope of moving to a more web design / marketing role going forwards.

I have tried to join the TeamTreehouse group on LinkedIn to connect with other developers however the request is constantly pending.

As there is a skill shortage of coders in the UK I am hoping to develop in this job sector. What have you found are the best ways to qualify your skills to recruiters? Do you have any advice?

I recently tried joining the group on linkedin as well.

There is so much variance with getting a first job in web dev, it'd be good to hear from even more people. I've read some of the blog posts and know about chris sean and some others who have gotten jobs fairly early on. Things are tougher now.

On one hand people say it's hard to get jobs, but on the other hand I've heard companies telling recruiters they need to hire more people and have a hard time finding them. There seems to be a disconnect somewhere, and idk how to bridge the gap.
