how many folders can you put into the link tag?

If you're talking about doing this

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" src="your/folder/path/to/your/stylesheet.css">

I believe you can have as many as you need in there, however personal opinion is that if you have to go more than 3 folders deep to get a file you need to reconsider your file structure, or you are working on Facebook; one or the other.
