Linode - Doubled RAM on all servers for free!!!

Linode has just posted this on their blog: http://blog.linode.com/2013/04/09/linode-nextgen-ram-upgrade/

Saying that I'm happy is an understatement.

Nice!

I still prefer DigitalOcean... I believe that it offers really good performance and you can't beat the price!!!

Also, you could do load balancing on your web servers for just $10.00 for two servers, you only need to know basic linux administration and you are set!

And no, I don't know for them :)

Just my two cents!

@paulo It is interesting what you say about DigitalOcean. I have looked at them as a running backup system. Unfortunately their pricing is having the opposite effect on me. To offer server at that price they must be overcommitting resources. If not, I can't see how they can stay in business.

They might be... It is to compare performance accordingly and decide what is the best solution... I also agree with your point, but as stated earlier, it all depends on the user requirements.

I was a linode customer before and they provide an outstanding service, specially the control panel is awesome! But because I didn't need that much performance, I opt-in for DigitalOcean.

Conclusion, both are great companies but it is a matter of knowing what your 'needs' truly demand :)
