I try this method but when the app loads , it took me straight to first view controller in the tabBarcontroller .So any ideas

42,016 Pointsin your storyboard, there is a little white arrow out to the left of the root view controller. its probably next to the tab bar controller. to make the loginViewController the root just click and drag that white arrow next to the loginViewController in your storyboard

3,457 Pointsyeah i placed it next to the view controller but when after i logged in ,it still stays in the Loginviewcontroller .I did not use any segue ,i was trying to present the loginview instantly ..
