Looking for a good community for beginners and group projects

I'm enjoying TreeHouses learning experience so far but I really want to play around with my skills and learn with other newbies but I'm struggling to find anywhere where beginners work together, any advice people? (I'm talking about things where coders work together on small projects or larger scale equivalents of TreeHouses own weekly challenges)

I like this idea!

Maybe some people really into design can work with a coder on a particular project. I think that would be a good time!

I think this is a great idea. I know that @Simon SΓΈrensen just posted a CMS project like this today: https://teamtreehouse.com/forum/help-me-make-this-awesome

I do think that instructor lead projects like this would be great as well. Or at least have them pop in to make sure things are flowing in the right direction. One think I've learned from watching tons of tutorials online is that code in tutorials and the real world can be quite different, especailly when talking about error handling and security. Code that works in the tutorials and sample projects, isn't always the most effective in the field. So having someone help make it a little more 'real world' would be well worth the price of admission to Treehouse.
