Looking for collaborators

I'm looking for collaborators for some projects. Most of my friends aren't really into computers and design, so it makes it hard to find like minded people to work with. Where do you find people to collaborate with? Also if anybody is interested let me know. I really feel like collaborating is the best way to push your talents to the next level.

That is great you are reaching out for collaborators. I feel exactly the same way. I have not that many friends that are interested like us in the web. I think that is why I decided to start a Boston area Treehouse meet-up. It starts on Sunday and I am really excited to see who comes. I am sure there are members that would love to sharpen their skills with you.

Hey i'm still really new to this area but I'm motivated and want to learn. I'd be interested in working on some projects. What do you have in mind?

I am still watching videos and sharpening my skills. I do not have any current projects that I am working on but I am sure that other Treehouse members will have some projects that you guys can collaborate on. Maybe some other members have some practice projects that are working on that you can be included. I will send some tweets out with a link to this post and we can see if we can find some collaborators.

Wow. I'm thrilled with the response this post is getting. When I get home this evening I'll contact those who've responded. Thanks guys!

I'm definitely still learning. But I'm always interesed in working with others. You can reach me on email ktferretti@gmail.com or twitter @ktferretti. I feel just as stuck as you do, haha.

I'm always down for making new friends in the design and development field. If anyone wants to talk about possible collaboration let me know. I have 4 years of graphic design experience as well as a pretty good understanding of HTML/CSS but I'm just starting to immerse myself in Javascript and PHP.

Hey everyone,

I made a Google+ Community group for collaborating with other Treehouse members. Figure would be a good way to stay connected, talk about projects you need help on, hangouts, and chat.

I'm still learning, but I'm down for collaborating and making new friends in the design and development world. I can be reached at kay.rea3@gmail.com.

What a great idea! I'm still learning too (aren't we all). But that's exactly why collaboration would be so awesome. Count me in!

How do you plan on doing this? I see Twitter handles, email addresses, G+ groups. What's the best way?

My twitter handle is @heydustinlee : )

This is insane! I posted this on a complete whim and never thought it would go this far, much less be tweeted out by @treehouse. I'm going through and gathering everyones information right now. I think the Google+ page is a good idea. I am also following everyone who has a twitter account. Make sure to follow back so DM's are possible. I'm @devoidofgenius on Twitter. Wow, just wow!

I'm in! I'd love to collaborate on something. I think the Google+ community page is a great idea!

Here's my Twitter handle: @KeithMon

What's cool about this is that I've been feeling all alone (and occasionally stuck and stranded) in my "learning adventure." Sounds like other folks were too. There's an old saying "that which is most personal is most general." I think that applies here.

Julie Kuehl I'm right there with you. I mentioned adding a more social aspect to the Treehouse site for this very reason. It would be nice to have the ability to do all of this on the site where it originated, rather than trying to figure out the best option. The forum isn't really meant for something like this. I am very grateful that it was here though to start the conversation.

Chris Ellingsworth I think the idea of a google+ is best, it seems the best for a colabs, one possible problem I see with it is upkeep and maintenance of the page. But I'm willing to try until treehouse incorporates a feature like that into their site.

This would be great to incorporate into Learning Adventures. Connecting with cohorts would be very helpful!

Julie we will need your G+ info or your gmail. Someone will invite you to it. I'm blocked from it while I'm at work or I would.

I found the link that had been posted earlier. I requested an invite.

When I get to a computer I'll see about the invites. If you look it up on Google+ its called Treehouse Team Up.

Here's the link. Just request an invite. You have to have a Google+ account (which is based on a Gmail address).

Just requested, super excited to socialize and work with other burgeoning developers and designers!

Is it possible to still get on this? I have always wanted to work on a project with other designers/developers.

Thanks, Andy
