Looking for Computer Science Tutor UK

To all UK treehousers, has any one done a Computer Science GCSE or greater and is willing to tutor/assist me as I doing instead of normal CS and my teacher is an IT teacher not a CS teacher. Please comment below. Thank you.

Hi Charlie!

I done GCSE Computing and now I do A Level Computing. What is it that you are looking to learn?

-Luke

I am really looking for someone to work through some of the content with me (have mass of online resources my school bought), POSIX terminal help and QWC help

So you have resources available that you would want to go through but you just would like to do it with someone as oppose to on your own or am I getting the wrong impression?

Yes that is basically the gist, I am doing it two years early (I am in year 9) and doing it in one year and this is the first time school has run the course so having someone to work through it with would be great.

Right okay I understand you. Do you just need help with the terminal content or is there any programming that needs to be done?

I am pretty confident with programming but could do with terminal help. I understand the basics but things like explaining how apt-get works or pipes or grep

I would suggest just trying out the content yourself and asking questions on StackOverflow when you run into problems. Most computer science tutors charge a fair bit.

Ok! Thanks.
